A Red-Letter Day

President Obama,

Remember back in January when I asked (quite nicely) for you to not delay the digital TV transition?

And remember when you and a knee-jerk congress just totally ignored me?

Jerks.

Well guess what? The joke's on you! Stations are pulling the plug anyway! Why? Because they prepped for three years to shut down on February 17^th, and sticking around any longer is simply going to cost them money. Who knows what contractors or engineers they hired to perform the shutdown work, never mind the electricity cost of operating two transmitters for four more months.

But don't mind all of that economist-speak; I'm sure the extra converter box subsidies in the stimulus bill will offset all of that economic loss.
